Ouray Mountain Rescue receives a large number of inquiries about joining the team. We currently bring new members on board in March of each year. How many new members we accept depends entirely on the number of current openings on the team as well as the quality of the applications we receive.

The new member application deadline is February 1st of each year. Applications received after this date will not be considered until the following year.

Please note that we are only considering applications for members that live full-time and within Ouray County limits.
